Mission Statement
Developments in Literacy (DIL) educates and empowers underprivileged students, especially girls, by operating student-centered model schools; and provides high-quality professional development to teachers across Pakistan.
About This Cause
DIL operates 138 schools across Pakistan, educating over 28,000 children annually. We have in place a holistic program that fills key gaps in quality primary and middle school education. This includes developing a culturally relevant curriculum based on research-supported best practices; developing teacher capacity to provide student-centered, activity-based teaching and learning; and developing technology literacy among teachers and students.
