Mission Statement
Breast Cancer Angels assist individuals with immediate direct financial assistance while they are going through Breast Cancer treatment. No one should ever have to make a decision, food for their family or treatment for breast cancer. Many people do, that is why Breast Cancer Angels was created.
About This Cause
We provide food gift cards, gas gift cards and offer rental, utility assistance, car payments and insurance, bus fares and help with medical co-pays. Basically whatever their greatest need is at the time. Many of these women have children and we assist with school supplies and clothing. Every need is considered. We believe that no one should have to make a choice between everyday necessities vs. treatment. Many will go without treatment if they have to make the decision. We are a volunteer organization that was formed in 2000 and our funds are raised primarily through individual donations and fundraising events. We currently have over 600 individual “Angels” who have pledged to donate $20 or more per month and several corporate “Angels” who have pledged $500 or more annually. 100% of all donor funds go directly to patient needs. We have assisted over six million dollars in 17 years! I am sure you may be aware that breast cancer is not going away and the need continues to grow. Currently the need has grown and we are assisting over 150 individuals a month, ($45,000) that have Stage I through Stage IV cancer. We assist women in Orange, Los Angeles, Inland Empire and San Diego Counties. The monies donated is given back to those in need in the community it was raised in. We have a passion to help to bring more awareness of what we do in the community; to the community. We are different than research and find most of the women call us in tears after speaking to other agencies that focus on research & mammograms and find that they cannot get help to get them through their treatment. They need financial support that we are able to provide but only because of direct donation and events.
