About This Cause
Our Beliefs - We believe that the whole self cannot be well without all parts being such and that the spiritual, physical, relational and financial issues faced by a population are intertwined. We believe that helping to change the sociological, economical, educational, and family structure will enable us to provide a safe haven, whereby lives can be transformed. Our Focus - Compassion CDC has identified the following key areas for desired impact: 1) Youth Development (e.g., Violence Prevention/At-Risk Behaviors, Education, Community Service and Family Support) 2) Food Hunger/Insecurity 3) Income Stability (e.g., Entrepreneurship, Home ownership, Job/Career Training, Financial Literacy, Money Management); 4) Physical Health (e.g., Fitness/Nutrition, Access to health care) 5) Community Strengthening (Community-wide Events, Economic Development Initiatives, Creation of Affordable Housing)
