Mission Statement
Milagros en Medicina (Miracles in Medicine) provides essential medical care and support to underserved communities in remote areas of Cusco, including the Colcha, Urcos and Pituamarca. Through the expertise of pediatricians, internists, and family medicine specialists, we address the critical gap in healthcare access in these regions. We are dedicated to ensuring that individuals, regardless of their location, receive the medical attention they need, including basic medications for both acute and chronic conditions.
About This Cause
The primary purpose of our organization is to provide healthcare services to underserved and remote communities in the highlands of Peru, where poverty and lack of access to health care is endemic. We will be partnering with local healthcare professionals and administrators to identify communities in need and how best to improve health outcomes in those communities. This will involve establishing regular medical clinics, bringing in needed medication, training local healthcare workers and creating educational programs for the communities. We hope to create a longitudinal relationship with ongoing collaboration to improve specific issues such as identification and treatment of chronic conditions, improving maternal and child health and treating infectious disease.
