Youth serving organization for young boys and girls ages 7-20. First grade program-tiger cubs, Second-fifth grades-cub scouts, Sixth-eleventh grades-scouts USA, and young men and women ages 14-20 venturing and exploring.
About This Cause
The purpose of the Boy Scouts of America is to provide an educational program for boys, girls and young adults to build character, to train in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and to develop personal fitness. The Mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. Community-based organizations receive national charters to use the Scouting program as a part of their own youth work. These groups, which have goals compatible with those of the BSA, include religious, educational, civic, fraternal,business, and labor organizations; governmental bodies; corporations; professional associations; and citizen's groups.
