Mission Statement
The mission of the Blanchard Valley Health Foundation is to develop, manage and steward relationships that result in philanthropic giving to benefit the health and well-being of those people served by the Blanchard Valley Health System. The Foundation will build a strong financial cornerstone on which the Blanchard Valley Health System may depend in order to further the ultimate goals of maintaining and restoring the health of those we serve.
About This Cause
The Blanchard Valley Health Foundation was officially chartered as a Separate and independent 501 (c) (3) corporation in December of 1982. The purpose for forming the corporation was to conduct fund raising activities for the benefit and support of the Blanchard Valley Health System and any entity related to Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS). Blanchard Valley Health System (BVHS), established in 1891 as the “Findlay Home for Friendless Women and Children”, is the not-for-profit parent corporation of an integrated regional health system based in Findlay, Ohio. Its mission is “Caring for a lifetime”. Its vision is “Extraordinary people. Exceptional care.” Governed by a community Board of Trustees with members representing large and small businesses, education, law, medicine and finance, the Health System oversees the operations of this large healthcare organization which employs over 2,300 Associates.
