Mission Statement

The Northeast Ohio Hispanic Center for Economic Development (NEOHCED) provides Spanish bilingual technical assistance and training, advocacy, and networking for the economic and social advancement of the Latino community. We achieve our mission through small business development, grassroots community engagement, and access to our diverse network of buyers and suppliers.

About This Cause

NEOHCED three pillars: The Hispanic Business Center (HBC) assists all business owners in achieving their goals- regardless of age, race, income level, gender or company size. HBC is home to Northeast Ohio’s only Latino Small Business Development Center (SBDC). We specialize providing the following: • Business Advising • Capital Source Identification • Business Plan Development • Marketing strategies • Strategic Planning • Business Certifications • Financial Projections • Business Assessment Valuation • Loan Packaging • Accounting The Northeast Ohio Hispanic Chamber Commerce (NEOHCC) fosters mutually beneficial partnerships by matching government agencies and corporations with qualified Hispanic businesses. NEOHCC also provides a vision for inclusion, integrity, empowerment and success of Hispanic-owned businesses. Activities include: • Networking • Special events • Exclusive membership discounts The Hispanic Community Development pillar work empowers individuals and groups of people with the skills they need and have to effect change and build stronger, more resilient local communities. The goal of our work is to drive economic and social advancement opportunities that help families achieve financial stability and economic mobility. This works includes: • Spur real estate development • Public policy and resource advocacy • Neighborhood action plan • Arts and culture Through this community development pillar comes CentroVilla25. CentroVilla25 is an adaptive reuse of a vacant 32,500 square foot warehouse located at 3140 West 25th Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44102. The facility will feature twenty-two micro-retail spaces, commercial kitchen, business innovation center, co- working space, office space for Latino and other neighborhood serving organizations, an outdoor plaza, and a community space for arts & culture programming. CentroVilla25 will catalyze economic impact through job creation and business development, growing a thriving local economy, and creative place making that celebrates the Latino culture. Total Project Cost: $12M ($11.8M Construction + Operation Endowment)
