Mission Statement
CAPS' mission is to prevent child abuse and neglect in Elkhart County through education, advocacy, and intervention with families. CAPS is here to build a support system for parents who want to find a better way to support their family as well as a place to keep kids safe after abuse has occurred. CAPS works with the community to support safe, stable, and nurturing relationships for all children.
About This Cause
CAPS – Child And Parent Services, Inc. is a non-profit organization. CAPS has been providing services to families in Elkhart County, Indiana since the early 1970s and has established a reputation as a leader in child abuse prevention efforts at the local, regional, and state levels. CAPS provides services and programs across the entire spectrum of abuse prevention, from general positive parenting information for all parents, to services specifically targeting those parents at increased risk for child abuse, and including families who need intervention after abuse or neglect in order to break the cycle of abuse.
