About This Cause
"Inspiring self-discovery in individuals with special needs through a safe, traditional camp experience. Empowerment~Independence~Compassion" Camp Millhouse is a residential summer camp for people of all ages with varying disabilities. We have 24-hour on-site nursing with medication management. We provide low camper to staff ratios. We accommodate most all dietary restrictions. Campers will enjoy many activities in a safe and accepting environment where they can just be themselves. Our camp setting gives campers an opportunity to be independent, learn new skills, and enjoy a barrier-free “vacation” all while making new friends and experiencing some activities for the first time in their life! Camp provides our families with a time of respite when they can take their own vacation or just have a relaxing week to themselves. It is our vision to live in a world where individuals with special needs are encouraged to realize their full potential and value to make a difference in their communities.
