Mission Statement
Special Olympics Indiana is a not-for-profit organization that provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in more than 20 Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, reaching over 10,000 athletes across Indiana.
About This Cause
The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for adults and children with intellectual disabilities by giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and their community.
