Mission Statement
We strive to take care of, provide for, and ensure that the fairgrounds are safe and welcoming to all visitors to the fair and to provide fun, entertaining, family-friendly, and educational events to our community, not only during the fair but also throughout the year, and to preserve and improve upon it for future generations of youth and community members.
About This Cause
The Posey County Fair Association provides and maintains the county fairgrounds for the community to enjoy. The fairgrounds include 49 acres, covered structures, arenas, and a large indoor community center that holds up to 500 people. The Posey County Fair Association also hosts fair week annually in July. The board strives to provide affordable, family friendly activities and events for the community. The grounds provide a space for many other non-for-profit organizations to utilize as well. Such as: 4H, FFA, agricultural education events, local school sports clubs, EMS/fire departments, cancer research groups, and animals rescues to name a few.
