Mission Statement

Matthew 25 Health and Care is inspired by the Gospel to provide free primary healthcare services to uninsured, low income residents of Northeast Indiana and Northwest Ohio. Matthew 25, Inc. opened on May 1, 1976 as an outgrowth of a prayer group that was concerned about the violence in the form of hunger and sickness. The original purpose of the Clinic was to provide health screening and health education to the poor. Staffed by lay and professional volunteers, the Clinic soon became an acute care facility. The Dental Clinic opened in 1979 providing complete dental care for low-income individuals.
