INDIANAPOLIS NEIGHBORHOOD RESOURCE CENTER INC

Indianapolis, Indiana, 46202 United States

Mission Statement

We support, advocate for, and empower neighbors and neighborhood-based organizations. We do this by training and coaching neighbors to mobilize existing assets, supporting grassroots leadership, and fostering collaboration.

About This Cause

Founded in 1993, the Indianapolis Neighborhood Resource Center (INRC) believes that citizens are the core of sustainable community development and that every person has the right to live in a strong, healthy community. INRC works to help communities thrive by providing grassroots resources and support for communities to identify and leverage the gifts and skills of their residents. Our goal is to enhance opportunities - economic, social, and educational - for all residents of Indianapolis. We believe that all people and neighborhoods have assets, and we help people utilize those assets to address challenges and grow as leaders. We do this through our signature programs: Public Allies Indianapolis, training (which includes the Indianapolis Community Building Institute, Neighbor Power Indy, and our workshop series), and customized neighborhood association capacity-building assistance.
