Mission Statement

The mission of KinderVision Foundation is to empower children and teens through peer-to-peer education to prevent victimization.

About This Cause

Since 1991 KinderVision Foundation has been providing two educational programs that empower children and teens to protect themselves and others from harm. The KVKids Program uses age-appropriate videos and activities to teach children to recognize situations and behaviors that put them at risk and to respond instinctively to reduce that risk. The Teen PSA Program provides a platform for teens to raise awareness through 30-second video messages they create for their peers on any issue that prevents teen victimization. Millions of young people across the country have been reached with these programs and empowered to protect themselves and their peers. Partners of The Greatest Save Teen PSA Program include state legislatures, Major League Baseball and law enforcement nationwide. National Spokesperson for KinderVision Foundation is Major League Baseball Hall of Fame member Rollie Fingers. Elementary-age Program KVKids resources are available online and include age-appropriate personal safety quizzes and peer-to-peer videos. The video for children under 6 is narrated by a child actor, the video for 7-9 is a peer-centered safety song, and the video for 10 and older is narrated by current MLB players giving the safety tips. Middle School/High School Program Teen PSA peer-to-peer crime prevention/education resources include over 1500 teen-created 30-second personal safety message designed to raise awareness and end victimization. This program encourages youth to recognize and discuss personal safety issues, create a public service announcement to address a particular issue, and then share that message with their peers and community. Topics covered include exploitation, abduction, molestation, human trafficking, date rape, internet safety, bullying, cyberbullying, vaping, substance abuse, driving safety, depression/suicide/mental health, tolerance and more. KV Teen PSAs are then shown throughout the school year to raise awareness and encourage responsible decision-making among the entire student body. Nearly 80% of teens report learning something new that changes what they do and they share with others after watching these messages. The goal of both programs is to engage, educate and empower children and teens to be aware, change harmful behaviors, and make good decisions for themselves and others so that they stay safe.
