Mission Statement

Dove Recovery House for Women is committed to empowering women to become substance-free, self-sufficient, and healthy, by providing safe housing, quality programming and -- above all -- hope for their future.

About This Cause

Dove House offers transitional housing to women in recovery from substance abuse. All women, regardless of income, are welcome at Dove House. Core components of the Dove House program include: - Safe and sober housing - Intensive case management and peer recovery support - Mental health services and trauma therapy - Intensive outpatient programming - Access to domestic violence services - Other support services, including relapse prevention counseling, family reunificiation services, employment training and placement, daily life skills, and finances and budget management Annually, Dove House is home for 80-90 women. Our Marion County (Indianapolis) location can house 40 women at a time. Our Dubois County (Jasper) location can house 15 women. Some of these women live with us for a matter of a few days, though we ask for a 90-day commitment, and others for up to two years. The average length of stay is 6-8 months. In 2022, 73-78% of Dove House clients successfully complete the 90-day program. 84% of Dove House clients with children reunited or reengaged with their children while at Dove House. 73% of Dove House clients were gainfully employed and/or enrolled in school. We offer our services free of charge to our clients, though once they begin working and have cleared any debt obligations, we help them to budget their income and encourage them to pay a nominal amount in rent to Dove House, which helps prepares them for budgeting and financial management when they leave Dove House.
