Mission Statement
The Lord's Pantry at Anna's House strives to enhance the lives of those we serve by empowering families through educational programs and nutritional assistance. Through the generosity of many, we will continue to seek out and implement additional programs which will help families to become self-sufficient.
About This Cause
Non profit food pantry and community center assisting the near west side area of Indianapolis. We provide nutritional, educational and supportive services to families in need. Anna's House strives to connect with our clients in a effort to determine services needed most. We provide a weekly grocery distribution to approximately 200 families (1000 individuals) each week. We also provide a weekly community dinner, serving a hot, well balanced meal to anyone in need. Each summer while our area children are out of school a hot breakfast is prepared and served again to anyone who wishes to join us. We obtain clothing, furniture and household items for our clients. Although we do not receive government funding, we partner with many organization to provide quality food, etc for our families. We partner with local schools, churches and individuals for donations both in kind and monetary. We also partner with organizations such as Midwest Food Bank, Second Helpings, Indianapolis Fruit, Pepperidge Farm Bread, Kroger and others. Our main focus is providing services to those need while maintaining dignity and pride in their time of need. We continually seek out and implement programs to help families become self sufficient. We have provided financial literacy and ESL classes. We provide continual health care referrals and have worked with local colleges to provide information regarding for students about to enter college
