Mission Statement
Our mission at Knots of Love is to warm the hearts and heads of those experiencing traumatic hair loss by knitting and crocheting caps with love and donating tiny Neonatal blankets for fragile new lives. These beanies and blankets are delivered free of charge to patients nationwide. We hope for a day when our services will no longer be needed, but until then our recipients continually tell us that our beanies not only provide warmth as they go through treatment but also provide them an incredible amount of dignity during the most challenging time of their lives.
About This Cause
Founded in 2007,we have distributed almost 1 million lovingly handmade knit and crocheted beanies to people with cancer diagnoses, Veterans, andtiny blankets to families offragile newbornsin incubators- for free! Our organization currently donates over 4,000 caps and NICU blankets every month. The number of treatment centers that receive our caps and blankets has grown by 50 percent from last year. The organization is contacted daily by medical institutions, cancer patients, hopeful parents, family members, and friends from coast to coast to request caps and blankets. Knots of Love has donated almost 1 Million caps and blankets to over 590 cancer centers and Neonatal Units across the country. This requires tremendous logistical management by the organization, which solicits volunteers, responds to requests from medical centers, collects the caps, packages them, and ships them out weekly. Undaunted, Knots of Love is an organization committed to providing comfort, warmth, and love to patients, with a clear vision and passion for helping those who desperately need us.
