Mission Statement
House of the Good Shepherd serves with love and compassion women and children affected by domestic violence by offering a safe place with opportunities for emotional, educational and spiritual growth, giving hope and continued support for a better future. Through personalized comprehensive services, House of the Good Shepherd promotes healing and recovery for survivors of domestic violence and enables them to achieve independence and self-sufficiency, while restoring the belief in every woman and child that they are worthwhile and deserve to live a life free from violence and poverty.
About This Cause
House of the Good Shepherd's program is based on our belief in the dignity of each person. The overall goals of our program are: • to promote healing and recovery for the mothers and children we serve • to provide women with the education and resources to develop independence and self-sufficiency and remain free from domestic violence. Each objective of our comprehensive educational, counseling and supportive services addresses one or both of these goals.
