Mission Statement

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetime by instilling in them the values of the Scout oath and law.

About This Cause

The traditional Scouting program serves: Cub Scouts for boys and girls in 1st - 5th grades; Scouts BSA for young men and women in 5th grade - high school; and Venturing for coed young adults ages 13 (and have completed 8th grade) - age 20. The non-traditional program which is Exploring Learning for Life, is a career education program for young men and women age 14 (and have completed the 8th grade) and not yet 21 years old.
