At Esperanza Community Services, our mission is to empower people with developmental disabilities to reach their full potential and lead fulfilling, independent lives. We strive to achieve this through innovative education, effective advocacy, and compassionate support while fostering a supportive community where everyone can thrive.
About This Cause
Esperanza Community Services is an anchor for people with disabilities. As a trusted and caring service provider, we are uniquely positioned to support our diverse community. We are dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities to lead self-determined lives, fostering a sense of agency and choice. Through our person-centered approach, we enable our clients to pursue their passion, embrace their abilities, make informed decisions, and reach their fullest potential. We reflect our clients in our programs. This means our programs are led by the choices that they make everyday. We value our peoples’ unique abilities, choices, and aspirations. Adult Program Community Day Services: Five days a week at our West Town location, we offer support to our clients for various aspects of their lives, focusing on fostering independence, social integration, skill development, and overall well-being. We focus on communication, social skills, vocational training, daily living skills, and recreational activities. This program is available to our residents and community members. Residential Program: We offer 24/7 support to ensure the safety and well-being of 22 residents. We manage care coordination, therapeutic services, individualized care plans and housing accommodations. We have three homes on the northwest side of Chicago. Home Based Services: We provide comprehensive and individualized support to a variety of clients in our community. These services are designed to help individuals live independently, access necessary care, and maintain their quality of life while staying in their familiar environment. Therapeutic Day School: We offer an education to students who require a specialized and supportive environment due to various emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges. Our school provides wrap around services in a nurturing and structured environment to ensure the growth of our students. We offer small class sizes, with a low student-to-support staff ratio to ensure our students get the support they need. Esperanza Art Studio: Our art program offers a creative and inclusive space where participants can express themselves, explore artistic endeavors, and develop skills. Our program not only offers a creative outlet but also contributes significantly to the overall well-being of our clients, fostering a sense of empowerment, accomplishment, and joy through artistic expression. We offer art to both our adult clients and students.
