Mission Statement
The Christian mission of the Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry is to provide food, clothing, and short-term emergency assistance for families and individuals in need. We aim to serve the whole person, striving to positively impact our guests’ total sense of wellness – economic, education, health, environment, and community – with the ambition of empowering our guests to live more functional, effective, and healthy lives.
About This Cause
The Geneseo-Atkinson Food Pantry provides food, household products, personal hygiene items to food insecure families. We also assist clients with free clothing and small household items. We provide nutrition-based cooking classes, a food care clinic, and a number of classes intended to help people build up their social determinants of health pillars. Other programs include back-to-school supplies, back-to-school gym shoes, Coats for Kids, Thanksgiving and Christmas food baskets, and Christmas Adopt-A-Family.
