About This Cause
Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank is the Northland's largest hunger-relief charity, rescuing and distributing nationally and regionally donated and purchased food to 145 charitable feeding programs (food shelves, soup kitchens, and shelters) throughout NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin. In addition, it serves the public directly through it's Food Shelf, Nutrition for Seniors, Mobile Food Pantry and BackPack Programs. Each year Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank rescues and distributes as much as 7 million pounds of food or enough food for 6 million meals reaching 44,000 neighbors in need.
