Mission Statement
The mission of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) of Bismarck, ND is to improve the lives of children and their families.
About This Cause
RMHC of Bismarck is a local 501(c)(3) not for profit organization registered in the state of North Dakota. It owns and operates the Ronald McDonald House and the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile. The Ronald McDonald House opened its doors in 1992 and provides temporary housing to the families of pediatric patients receiving medical treatment at any of the local hospitals or clinics. There is a suggested donation of $20/night, but no one is turned away for inability to pay. We provide a "home away fro home" to approximately 200 western North Dakota families each year. Since our opening in 1992. we have provided comfort and care to over 5,000 families. In an effort to serve even more children, the Ronald McDonald Care Mobile program was launched in 2012. The Care Mobile is a state of the art mobile dental clinic that provides desperately needed oral health care to underserved children in their own neighborhoods in western North Dakota. We bring the care directly to the children who would otherwise have no access to dental care. We treat approximately 1,000 children each year and bill Medicaid or other insurance when possible, but like the Ronald McDonald House, no child is turned away for inability to pay. For many children, the Care Mobile provides their first dental visit.
