Mission Statement
It is the mission of Moose Charities to develop the financial resources needed to support the humanitarian efforts of the Moose Fraternity, including the home for children at Mooseheart, the home for seniors at Moosehaven, and those charitable activities that benefit families, communities, and our society.
About This Cause
Moose Charities Inc. is a registered nonprofit, Illinois-based 501 (c) 3 charity, charged with the primary goal of providing the necessary resources for the continued support and maintenance of the Mooseheart Child City & School and the Moosehaven retirement community. Mooseheart Child City and School was established in 1913 at its present Kane County location on Highway 31 to provide care and support for the children of disabled or deceased members of the Moose fraternity. In 1994 Mooseheart opened its services to any adolescent, from infancy through high school, in need of a home, regardless of race, ethnicity or creed, entirely free of charge. At present, Mooseheart is serving the community as the largest residential childcare facility in Illinois. Some children have lost one or both parents; others had been living in environments not suitable for healthy growth and development. Since 1913, over 12,000 children have entered Mooseheart Child City & School. With your generous help, we are giving these kids a second chance at childhood.
