Mission Statement
Boys & Girls Clubs of Dundee Township DBA Boys & Girls Clubs of the Northwest Suburbs is a non-profit, after school & summer, education enrichment program. The Boys & Girls Club offers children the opportunity to remain at their school after the school day has ended for additional fun and learning with their peers in a safe and positive environment. The Boys & Girls Club offers parents an affordable alternative to “child care”. Our daily programs and services include an afternoon snack and evening meal, Educational Programs (including homework help), Sports & Fitness, Health & Life Skills, Character & Leadership Development, and The Arts.
About This Cause
Our program operates mainly in Title 1 schools; meaning that a majority of our clientele are low-income families, and/or single-parent families, many living in compromised neighborhoods. Our mission is to offer our members opportunities that they may not otherwise have. We offer a safe and positive place for youth to be. We provide educational resources to help them to succeed in school. We have trained staff to be positive mentors and offer guidance and support to our members. Our membership is offered for a minimal fee to our families. In order to serve the youth that need us the most, we must keep the entry fee at a very low and affordable rate. Therefore, we depend greatly on local businesses, individual donors, and grant funding to support our program and keep children off the street and out of harm's way.
