Mission Statement
To create community through people, parks, and programs. The BCRPD Foundation assists in the financial and volunteer support of the BC Recreation and Park District, which provides quality programs and services through the provision of facilities, parks, and activities to enriches and improves the quality of lives of people living in our community.
About This Cause
The BCRPD Foundation supports the fundraising needs for our community recreation district. The taxes that are collected are less than the growing needs within our district, so the BCRPD Foundation formed as a way to help raise awareness and donations that are of benefit for our community. The Foundation has successfully helped support KBCZ 90.1 FM Community Radio program, youth scholarship program, events, and the purchase of a new recreation facility and park. The Boulder Creek Recreation and Park District is a political subdivision of the State of California and operates generally under the provisions of the Public Resources Code, Division 5, Chapters 4 and 5, 5780 through 5791. The District is considered a Special District and works within the community to help bring about community through people, parks, and programs. The Foundation aims to raise over $500,000 in the next two years in order to payback a loan for the purchase of our newly acquired facility and park, as well as help in renovating and creating accessibility.
