The mission of Kids Dance Outreach (KDO) is to positively impact the lives of all children through joyful dance programs that inspire excellence, instill confidence, encourage teamwork, and applaud persistence.
About This Cause
In 2012, Kids Dance Outreach (KDO) was founded so that all children, regardless of geographic background, ability, or socioeconomic status, could experience the transformative power of dance and the arts. The vision is to bring high-quality arts education and performance opportunities directly to children in their classrooms, ensuring access to all -- thereby enhancing their sense of self-worth, academic achievement, social skills, and ultimately their quality of life. Our relentless focus on children consistently guides KDO’s mission, business model, and growth. It dictates a strong commitment to respecting high standards, excellence, and stewardship. KDO offers its programs free of charge to school-age children in Indianapolis-area schools, including children with physical and developmental disabilities. In all, more than 2,000 children participate in KDO programs every year. More than 24,000 children across Indianapolis have participated in KDO's unique and innovative programs.
