About This Cause
Over the past 60 years, Rockford Rescue Mission has responded to the needs of thousands of homeless and near-homeless men, women and children in the Rock River Valley. The Mission’s purpose is to rescue, recover and restore people through services and programs designed to bring healing, hope and spiritual wholeness. This happens through providing essential needs like food, shelter and clothing, but that’s only the beginning. Other services we provide include our long-term Life Recovery programs, addiction counseling, medical services, guest advocacy, education, and vocational training (through our Works! Center). We also provide aftercare as our Life Recovery graduates rebuild their lives.
