United Way of Greater McHenry County's mission is to unite people and resources to improve lives and build a stronger community.
About This Cause
Your impact is multiplied with a donation to the United Way of Greater McHenry County. The United Way of Greater McHenry County partners with 31 local nonprofits and numerous food pantries to provide help where it is needed the most. Our fundraising provides vital support to maintain 50 local programs that provide access to mental healthcare, senior care, childcare, healthcare, financial counseling, mentoring, adult readiness mentoring, early childhood education, food access, Veteran support, and more. Programs are funded based upon decisions made by local community panelists who evaluate the grant requests. Our own Ride United program provides free delivery of food pantry groceries and essential items to residents who cannot access the services. We fully fund the 2-1-1 community helpline that is free, confidential and available 24 hours a day in multiple languages.
