Mission Statement
The Champaign County (CCHS) runs an open admission animal shelter and adoption center for dogs, cats, and other small companion animals in Champaign County, Illinois. No animal in need is turned away and all animals recieve veterinary care and behavioral enrichment while at CCHS. CCHS also provides humane education programs, dog training classes, low cost spay/neuter surgery, and other pet-related services to the community. CCHS licensed humane investigators respond to complaints regarding possible animal neglect or abuse. CCHS is an independent charitable organization that receives no government funding or support from any national or international humane organization.
