Sampling of items and services the PTA contributes to our school: Assistant Teacher Salaries for all K and 1st Grade Classrooms Professional Development for Educators in Math, Literacy and Special Education Enrichment Programming/Initiatives Specialty Class Expenses: Technology, Science, Art, Music, Gym, Library, OT, PT and Speech Therapy, Counseling, & ESL Health and Wellness Initiatives Reading Intervention Recess Coach Social Emotional Learning Arts Connection/Movement Program (K & 1st grade) Arch for Kids Architecture Program (1st & 2nd grades) Central Park Zoo (1st grade) New York City Center Dance Program (2nd grade) Creative Stages Theater Program (3rd, 4th & 5th grades) NY Philharmonic (3rd, 4th & 5th grades) Geography Program (4th & 5th grades) Test Prep Clubs (3rd, 4th & 5th grades) Chess (all grades) Girl Scouts Science Night/STEM Initiative Track Team (4th & 5th grades) Recess enhancements: Games and equipment for outdoor and indoor activities, e.g. gaga pit, basketball hoops and padding for courtyard
