Mission Statement
EDUCATE has been providing educational support services to youth, families, and communities to eradicate poverty through workshops, programs, resources, outreach, training, skill development, career shadowing, mentoring, and tours.
About This Cause
EDUCATE Inc has been providing youth, family, and community support, outreach, and enrichment services since January 2011 in Como, MS. Our services began with Community Back to School Rallies in 2009 and evolved to after school, college and career readiness, and summer enrichment programs for rural area students. Our services areas started with Panola and Tate Counties and expanded to some statewide services and programs in 2020. Our consistency with these annual programs and services have provided tangible and intangible resources that have impacted the lives of over 100 families since our inception. In 2018, we expanded services to senior citizens with wellness, technical assistance, nutrition, and weekly exercise classes Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. During the nations hardest times, EDUCATE responded. We provide food backpacks, technical assistance, educators, recreational, technical support, resources and more to families and rural communities during COVID. We still remain a resource center providing access to assistance and resources. Our mission and commitment to community and families would not be possible without our Partners that EDUCATE. The financial support from our partners have aided are the best part of our sustainability, success, and growth.
