Mission Statement
Our Mission is to bring awareness, education, and advocacy to correct the national statistics that Black women's life expectedly is less than a White woman's. To change the perceived notion in the Black and Brown Community that all breast cancers begin with a lump. To connect women and men with trusted breast cancer information and support. Our Mission is to also offer emotional help as well as survivorship care after treatment for Black women and women of color of this very lethal and aggressive breast cancer, to make a difference in the fight against all Inflammatory Breast Cancers and subtypes. To continue to bring awareness of IBC our organization secured in 2018, RESOLUTION (ACR-94 and -SCR-97). There is a bright future because of our advocacy as a Black lead organization, and advanced knowledge by working together with top medical doctors and the community. About This Cause
Our founder was diagnosed with Inflammatory Breast Cancer on May 26, 2011, she was given 2 1/2 years to live because she is a Black woman. There was no information at that time to help her fight this killer breast cancer, at least no one would talk about it not even support groups on the internet. To talk about Black women and Breast Cancer, she recognized to save her life she had to fight. As the fighter and true visionary, she is! Fighting 4 the Tatas was born during her treatment. The organization provides outreach programs, support like wigs, nutritional information, hope and emergency financial support for utility bills. Our goal is to break through the silence and shame of breast cancer for Black women and women of color. As you can see, she has survived statistics and has celebrated her 12th year (2022) without taking the 5-year pill. WE NEED YOUR DONATIONS to keep fighting and educating.
