About This Cause
Founded by two Clinical Social Workers in 2019, SSIM Inc started out as a creative and holistic project for young people. In efforts to provide access and financial assistance to families in need of mental health and wellness services, SSIM Inc. will offer assistance in accessing services and partner with community-based organizations (CBO) to provide dance and movement programs and therapeutic resources. SSIM believes that everyone has an innate desire to dance and move and that kids learn best through play. Before we could talk, we could move to communicate, connect and explore the world. We value the use of movement-based activities and art forms to engage and empower young people through their authentic movements. We welcome young people with varying cultures, abilities, and neurodiversity into our SSIM community.
