Mission Statement
The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its message is based on the bible. Its ministry is motivated by the Love of God. Its Mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in his name, without discrimination. The Flint Citadel mission is to save souls, grow saints, and serve suffering humanity in the heart of Flint. It is our desire to help make our community a better place by helping individuals grow in every area of life through a holistic ministry.
About This Cause
We have multiple services including Camp, Day Care, Social Services including help with shut off notices, an adult rehabilitation center and much more. These services are often funded by the generosity of our donors, minimal grants and our own efforts to market and fundraise. We are on the frontline during disasters, weather related, injury or mass casualty, search and rescue, police and fire emergencies.
