Mission Statement
To provide the opportunity for adults with developmental disabilities to achieve emotional, social and spiritual growth in a safe and secure homelike atmosphere.
About This Cause
We were founded in 1949 by Viola Kambly as The Kambly School for Exceptional Children. We later transitioned into a non - profit licensed adult foster care home for adults with developmental disabilities. We provide our residents with round the clock supervision, 3 healthy meals and snacks daily. We have in house activities as well as outside activities to promote inclusion. It takes approximately $1,500 per resident per month to provide this care. The majority of residents only receive SSI benefits which means there is a monthly shortfall of approximately $500 per resident. We hold fundraisers several times yearly to raise approximately $50,000 yearly to make up this shortfall.
