Mission Statement
HOPE serves with a mission to support Lenawee County adults with developmental disabilities in pursuing an empowered, healthy, and community-enriched life.
About This Cause
HOPE Community Center is the only organization in Lenawee County that provides daily recreational, educational and social programming to over 100 adults living with developmental disabilities. HOPE gives members the tools and experiences they need to reach their full potential by offering programs in the areas of living skills, life-long learning, social recreation, community engagement and health/wellness. Perhaps the single most important service we provide is ending the debilitating physical, social and emotional isolation experienced by so many people living with disabilities. Annually, we offer over 1,150 program opportunities. Members have 150 opportunities each year to interact in our community through volunteer outing and projects. We are proud of the evolving services, programs and opportunities that HOPE has provided over the last 42 years to area residents with developmental disabilities. With the ongoing support of our community, we have improved the quality of life for thousands of men and women.
