About This Cause
The foundation achieves its mission by encouraging interest in charitable giving and providing a flexible means for donors to perpetuate their varied philanthropic interests in the Monroe County and Milan, Michigan area. We serve as a respected steward for assets entrusted to its care by individuals, families, businesses, and organizations while providing maximum tax benefits to the donor. We provide professional management of those assets, the income from which is used to meet the community’s charitable needs in ways that are compatible with both the wishes of the donor and the goals of the foundation. Donors may wish to set up a named fund with their gifts. A named fund may be established with cash, stock, insurance policies, real estate or other tangible property. In summary, CFMC is a permanent and growing charitable community foundation along with our affiliate GMACF that, through a wide variety of grants and programs, serves to enhance life in Monroe County and Milan, Michigan for good, forever.
