Mission Statement
Wellness AIDS Services, Inc. assists in the care of individuals infected/affected by HIV/AIDS, and promotes HIV/STI education, prevention and harm reduction in the community.
About This Cause
PURPOSE: In furtherance of it’s mission, Wellness will continue to: Conduct itself in a client-centered, inclusive, open and affirming manner Provide and/or advocate for comprehensive and coordinated emotional and physical health care and social services to persons living with HIV and their families Facilitate harm reduction, targeted to those whose behaviors place them at greatest risk for infection with HIV. Serve as a community resource for information regarding HIV and issues affecting People Living with HIV (PLWH), Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBTQ+) community members, Injecting Drug Users (IDU), undocumented citizens, people experiencing homelessness, and/or food insecurity. Promote use of nationally recognized models for HIV treatment and prevention. Wellness has a long-standing history of providing contributions to our community. We have had impact on the following areas of our community; social justice, public health, mental health, education, cultural arts, and volunteerism.
