Mission Statement
The Tahquamenon Education Foundation (TEF) is committed to education excellence and providing support for the development of enrichment programs and services for a broader and more refined education for our young people at Tahquamenon Area Schools (TAS).
About This Cause
The TEF was started in 1987 to give back to the students and teachers of TAS. Through the generous donations of families, individuals, businesses, and organizations sustain this giving. Each year, the TEF: 1. Awards scholarships to graduating seniors in the amount of at least $16,000. 2. Awards grants $10,000 to teachers for supplies, equipment and furniture. 3. Hosts a dinner for graduating seniors to honor those achieving a 2.5/4 GPA. 4. Provides plaques for retiring teachers in appreciation for their dedication to our youth. The TEF is here for students to excel in the classroom and after graduation in order to contribute to society in a positive manner.
