Mission Statement
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint will inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. Great Futures' Vision: Provide a world-class Club experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our door, with all members on track to graduate from high school with a plan for the future, demonstrating good character and citizenship, and living a healthy lifestyle.
About This Cause
The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint gives youth an opportunity to elevate themselves in the community. The building-centered effort provides a safe haven for children. Programs are designed to benefit children socially, physically, economically and educationally, building a foundation for future successes personally, and leading to a positive future for Flint and Genesee County. No child between the ages of 7-17 is turned away from the Club. We charge a $10 annual membership fee, but the true cost for each child is well over $500 annually. Serving an average of 250 children per day in the after school program and up to 300 children per day in the summer, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Flint depend strongly on donors and community members like you to provide quality services to our members and families. Your financial support helps us reach the children who need us most--serving more kids, more often. Investing in the next generation of leaders is a smart decision and helps young people build better lives for themselves and their communities. Studies show that Club participation improves academic performance, social behaviors, and adult success. Please consider a tax-deductible donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Flint, which will pay for a portion of the actual annual cost associated with being a Club member. Remember, a contribution in any amount which is received by the end of December may be claimed on your annual tax return.
