About This Cause
Animal Rescue Fund (ARF), in operation since 1998, has grown and expanded in its service to St. Joseph County Michigan addressing a diversity of animal causes. ARF is a 501c3, tax ID # 38-3404848, all volunteer organization with administrative costs less than two percent of the annual revenues we receive. ARF’s St. Joe County outreach is primarily pet population control of cats and dogs as well as assured veterinary assistance for injured animals of unknown owner. Our organization has name recognition and requests are directed our way from many sources. As an all volunteer non-profit group, we attempt to respond, if possible, to any and all requests for animal assistance. ARF relies upon the community and its resources when planning and initiating all of its many diverse events and fundraisers throughout the year. Many of these event costs continue to escalate especially with regard to spay, neuter, and emergency veterinary services as well as food items of all kinds. So we continue to request support from county businesses and corporate entities within our reach. These requests are needed to cover expenses in some of ARF’s more costly events. Business contributions have allowed us to grow in positive directions. Our gratitude for this support is difficult to convey in words. ARF contributes to St. Joe County Animal Control’s by providing free food packages to new animal adoptees at its Centreville location. There is also a draw on our food resources at the Three Rivers Food Site where free pet food distribution has increased steadily from the time of our program’s inception in 2009. Our volunteer members work long and hard and have contributed time and time again to improvements at St Joe County Animal Control saving the county much money over the years while improving the animal’s lives. ARF provides assistance with foster homes for pets whose owners are in shelters for homeless and domestic violence. This allows for pets to be maintained in their forever home with our pet food provisions and fostering assistance. So with this in mind, please remember that business monetary contributions over time have helped ARF continue to move forward helping more people and animals in need. Thanks to any and all who have helped ARF in some way. Your ongoing support and generosity are more than needed and certainly appreciated.
