Mission Statement
YTC prepares youth for the technology-driven future through education and civic engagement. A Corps of engaged teens grow into successful agents of change that democratize both education and access across the globe.
About This Cause
Youth Technology Corps (YTC) is transforming education through peer-to-peer STEM learning, empowering students to become both learners and teachers. By refurbishing computers, exploring engineering, and diving into robotics, our student-teachers develop leadership skills while passing knowledge forward—both locally and globally. In Spring 2024, YTC students in suburban Chicago taught “From Electricity to Robotics” to peers in Mexico, Ethiopia, Namibia, and Mozambique. With funding, groups in Cameroon and Guatemala can join this global learning network. YTC has expanding programs in Namibia, Cameroon, Mozambique, and Guatemala; and soon to Ghana, Nigeria and other countries in Latin America. YTC has the potential to evolve from a program into a global movement—bridging borders, breaking barriers, and shaping the next generation of STEM leaders.
