Mission Statement
The primary objectives and purposes of this corporation shall be: (a)To provide shelter and care for homeless basset hounds. (b)To make every effort to provide basset hounds with new homes. 1 (c)To prevent the killing and disposing of basset hounds (d)To protect the breed in general. (e)To prevent indiscriminant or over breeding of the basset hound. (f)To provide education on health, diet, care and training of basset hounds.
About This Cause
MISSION STATEMENT Golden Gate Basset Rescue, Inc. is a non profit 501 c (3) corporation dedicated to saving the lives of as many bassets in our area that we can. The purpose of Golden Gate Basset Rescue, Inc. is to provide adoptive services to basset hounds which have been relinquished by owners, humane societies, shelters and other rescue services to the corporation due to abandonment, neglect, health concerns or other varied reasons. Golden Gate Basset Rescue, Inc. will spay, neuter, vaccinate, heartworm test and do whatever medical needs that are dire before placement in an adoptive home. Golden Gate Basset Rescue, Inc. will provide education in the proper treatment and care of said basset hounds through literature, follow up call and visits after placement. We encourage obedience training of said placed basset hounds and are available for any questions by either email or phone at any time during the life of said placed basset hound. We will also take back any placed basset hound who for some reason cannot stay in said home and find a new home or place in permanent foster care.
