Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide access to affordable pet care across South Texas, support responsible pet ownership, and work with animal control agencies to reduce shelter intake and euthanasia.
About This Cause
PAAC (People Assisting Animal Control) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of pets and the people who love them throughout South Texas. Our mission is to promote responsible pet ownership, reduce the number of unwanted and stray animals entering shelters, and create healthier, more compassionate communities. We operate the largest high-volume spay/neuter and wellness clinics in South Texas, serving as a critical resource for affordable, accessible veterinary care. In addition to providing low-cost spay/neuter surgeries, vaccinations, and preventative services, we actively work in underserved communities, offering outreach programs, pet food assistance, and transportation for pets when needed. Our innovative programs, including "PAAC Giving Back" for homeless pet owners and partnerships with local shelters, help keep animals with their families and out of shelters. We also collaborate with national organizations like the Humane Society of the United States and the ASPCA to bring even more resources and support to our region. Through community-focused initiatives, education, and compassionate care, PAAC strives to break the cycle of pet overpopulation and strengthen the human-animal bond. With donor support, we can continue expanding our services, reaching more families in need, and building a future where every pet has access to essential veterinary care and every community can thrive.
