Through a wide array of programs in health and wellness, financial literacy, diversity/inclusiveness, childcare and special interests, the YWCA Wausau serves the ever-evolving needs and interests of all women, with the tools they need to transform their lives. YWCA programs increase personal confidence and empower women to make greater contributions to their workplace, family and community.

About This Cause

Since 1920, the YWCA Wausau has been opening doors for women, children and families. Throughout our history, we have unlocked the potential of our community with initiatives that reflect the ever-changing needs of those we serve. It’s what we are about and what we intend to do. The YWCA Wausau is a nonprofit membership organization founded in 1920 as a member of the national YWCA, an autonomous women’s movement. We provide leadership in our community, nation and world in the struggle for peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all people. YWCA Wausau Mission YWCA Wausau is dedicated to eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom, and dignity for all.
