Mission Statement
The L.E. Phillips Career Development Center provides services and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities or disadvantages. CDC also helps individuals experiencing homelessness by providing them with the resources they need.
About This Cause
The mission of the L.E. Phillips Career Development Center is to be a viable business enterprise as a means to provide meaningful and appropriate vocational services and employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities or disadvantages. As a nonprofit corporation, any profits generated will be utilized to upgrade physical facilities and capital equipment. These funds also will be used to subsidize the provision of vocational services. The Chippewa Outreach Office, which is a part of CDC, helps individuals experiencing homelessness by providing them with the resources they need. Some of the resources are motel vouchers to sleep somewhere safe at night, paying up to one month's rent for eviction prevention and providing household items from the Community Cupboard which is items donated from community members.
