Mission Statement
Wisconsin Folk Arts Association is a cultural and educational non-profit with focus on traditional folk arts, especially those of Eastern Europe, with emphasis on folk dance, music, and song.
About This Cause
The principal mission of Wisconsin Folk Arts Association is to provide opportunities for active, personal participation in traditional arts, especially dance, music, and song. Designated a 501(c)3 organization in 1982, primary activities of Wisconsin Folk Arts Association are organizing and sponsoring folk art festivals, workshops, and performances. The organization also administers a scholarship program to assist participants in regional folk arts events. WFAA is a major supporter of the annual Folk Ball Festival weekend in Madison, Wisconsin, a major regional gathering of dancers, singers, and musicians.
