The mission of NAMI Wisconsin is to improve the quality of life of people and families affected by mental illnesses and to promote recovery.
About This Cause
NAMI Wisconsin is the state organization of the National Alliance on Mental Illness. NAMI is the largest grassroots mental health organization dedicated to providing advocacy, education, support and public awareness for those living with mental illness. NAMI Wisconsin will accomplish our mission through the following: - Promoting public education and understanding of mental illness - Advocating at all levels of government and throughout the public sector to improve mental health care in Wisconsin - Support our 27 local affiliates throughout the state by providing follow-up advice and counsel; educational and training programs and materials; access to financial resources as appropriate; and by offering conferences, seminars, and presentations. - Establish and strength local affiliates to keep with NAMI's principles and guidelines.
