Mission Statement
The AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin is home to the ARCW Medical Center. ARCW is the first HIV medical home approved by the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid and the first community-based medical home in Wisconsin by the National Committee on Quality Assurance. Through integrated medical, dental, mental health services clinics, along with its pharmacy, food pantries, legal services and social work case management, more than 3,300 HIV patients in Wisconsin gain the services they need to live a long and health life, regardless of their ability to pay.
About This Cause
More people than ever are living with HIV in Wisconsin and each one needs high quality, comprehensive and integrated health care to have the best chance to live a long, healthy life. HIV patients face a myriad of medical, socioeconomic and psychosocial challenges that can prevent their ability to manage the HIV well. The integrated services provided by ARCW are designed to help our patients overcome these barriers to health. In fact, over 84% have an undetectable viral load, meaning that their HIV is being managed as well as it can be! At ARCW, HIV patients have access to expert providers and state-of-the-art equipment in a comfortable, confidential setting, regardless of their ability to pay.
